The application rate of neem cake pellets per plant can vary depending on factors such as plant type, size, soil conditions. I offer some general tips for use as a starting point.
Tips for use :
For new plants, apply directly to the soil 2-3 weeks before planting
For small plants or seedlings, a general recommendation is to apply around 1-2 tablespoons/15-30 grams of neem cake pellets per plant
For larger, established plants, you can increase the application rate to around 60-120 grams of neem cake pellets per plant.
Distribute the pellets evenly around the plant, away from the stem. You may also mix in with the soil. Water thoroughly.

Keep in mind – Mould growth during the decomposition of neem cake or any organic material in a compost pile is generally considered normal and part of the natural decomposition process.
Natural protection: When neem cake pellets are applied to the soil around plants, they can deter or reduce the population of insects such as aphids, caterpillars, beetles, and nematodes.
Soil amendment: Neem cake pellets are rich in organic matter and nutrients. When incorporated into the soil, they can improve soil structure, enhance moisture retention, and promote beneficial microbial activity. Healthy soil leads to healthier plants, making them less susceptible to diseases and pests.
Disease suppression: Neem cake has antifungal properties that may help suppress certain soil-borne plant diseases caused by fungi, such as root rot or damping-off. When used as a soil amendment, neem cake can create an unfavourable environment for fungal pathogens, reducing the risk of plant infections.
Nutrient release: Neem cake pellets gradually release nutrients, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, as they break down in the soil. This slow release provides a sustained source of nutrition to plants, promoting healthy growth and development.
Ourons neem cake pellets are slow-release and can last for several weeks or more in the soil. It’s not necessary to apply neem cake pellets every time you water or fertilise your plants
